Do you need to know how to code to build an app on
The greatest part about is that anyone can build an app! No coding skills are needed. The easy, self -building tools on the website allow any designated staff to create and manage the app.
After I build the app, how long do I have to wait until users can download it?
Submissions to Apple's and Google's app stores usually undergo a brief review by those companies, causing only a slight delay of a few days. Pending approval, your app should be available for download within a week after you complete your app content and submit it to us to publish.
Can I send push notifications?
Yes! You will be able to send short 200 character push notifications to users who have accepted push notifications on their device. Each package level comes with an allocated amount of push messages a month and metrics for total recipients and open rates.
If I update content on the app, when do those changes show on the app?
Instantly after you approve the final content. Before publishing any changes on the app, all new content will need to be approved by you. This avoids pushing intermediate updates to app users before the content is ready. Once everything is ready, hit "Publish", and the users will immediately receive the updates the next time they open the app!
Is my appmyrep account protected?
Yes, uses industry-standard best practices. For more information on these features, please contact us at We are happy to share other details on our security measures. Additionally, we offer Two-Factor Authentication for all accounts, using Google's Authenticator mobile application. Learn more about Two-Factor Authentication.
What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication provides an improvement on classic username/password authentication methods for websites and other systems. This style combines your username and password with a secret, constantly changing, sequence of numbers that you don't have to remember yourself. You will be able to link an app on your phone with appmyrep so that when logging in, you'll provide the current number sequence shown in the app and be properly logged in. Attackers won't know the code, and thus won't be able to log in as you even if they know your username and password. Click here to learn more.
Are both iOS and Android apps available?
Currently only iOS apps are available, but it is in our short-term plan to provide Android apps as well. The good news is that you will only need to create app content once and it will sync seamlessly across both iOS and Android supported devices.
What about password complexity? takes the security of your data very seriously. We are doing our part by securing this website and your mobile apps, and this will require you playing a role as well. In today's security realm, an eight-character password of only letters and numbers can be cracked nearly instantly. A complex 10 character password with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols will take significantly longer to brute force, increasing the security of your account. Consider using a password manager like LastPass to make remembering your complex password a trivial exercise. Strongly consider adding Two-Factor Authentication to your account as well for greatly added protection.
How can I protect the content published to the app?
Prior to any changes you make going live to your constituents, the pages are put into a pending state. You then reauthenticate with your password when you are ready for the updates to be made public. All your constituents see the most recently published content, so you don't have to worry about interim content being pushed out or looking incomplete. By reauthenticating, only you can publish content, which better secures the entire system and your app.
